Junior Hardware Designer 

Embedded Designer is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Hardware Designer to support the research, design, and development of electronic hardware solutions. The selected candidate will work closely with senior hardware and embedded software engineers to assist in designing, testing, and troubleshooting hardware systems. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Assist in collaborating with embedded software engineers to ensure hardware–software compatibility and smooth system integration. 
  • Support the design and development of electronic circuits, schematics, and printed circuit boards (PCBs). 
  • Use CAD tools such as Altium, Eagle CAD, KiCad, EasyEDA, or OrCAD for schematic capture and PCB layout under supervision. 
  • Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware issues and propose basic design improvements. 
  • Participate in testing hardware prototypes and help analyze performance data. 
  • Support the preparation of technical documentation and basic performance reports. 
  • Assist in monitoring the manufacturing and assembly of electronic components to ensure adherence to design specifications. 
  • Help with maintenance, minor repairs, and modifications of existing hardware designs. 
  • Stay updated with emerging hardware technologies, tools, and industry trends. 

 

Requirements 

  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in hardware design tools such as Altium, Eagle CAD, KiCad, or EasyEDA. 
  • Understanding microcontrollers, embedded systems, and fundamental circuit design concepts. 
  • Ability to read and interpret datasheets for microcontrollers, sensors, memory ICs, and drivers. 
  • Familiarity with basic hardware testing and debugging techniques. 
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. 

 

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field (fresh graduates or final-year students may be considered). 

 

Experience: 1–2 years of experience in hardware or electronics design (internships, academic projects, or lab experience are acceptable).
